Common Questions

Is shipping really free?

Yes. Standard shipping is included on poster orders at checkout—there is no separate shipping line item. Gift purchases also include standard shipping when the recipient redeems their credit and orders their poster. Shipping & Returns has production and delivery timelines.

What activity files can I use?

GPX, TCX, FIT, and KML files from most watches and apps. Any activity with a GPS track works when you upload a file—runs, hikes, rides, and more. We use your coordinates to draw the route on the map. See Exporting activity files below for step-by-step export help.

Do I need to create an account?

No account on running-art.com is required. Upload a file, design your poster, and check out securely through Stripe.

Gift a run

Gift a run lets you buy a poster credit for someone else. You choose size and framing and enter the recipient's name and email. They receive a redemption code to build their poster in the Studio with their own activity file. Standard shipping is included when they order. Gift a run to purchase.

How long does production and shipping take?

Each poster is printed to order. Production usually finishes within 2 business days, then we ship. Delivery typically takes 2–5 business days depending on destination. You will get an email when your order ships. Shipping & Returns has full details.

Can I return or cancel my order?

Because each poster is custom-made to your route and choices, we generally cannot accept returns for change of mind once production has started. If something arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos and your order number. Shipping & Returns has full details.

Exporting activity files

How do I export an activity file from my watch or app?

Running Art accepts GPX, TCX, FIT, and KML. Export one activity from your platform below, then upload via Enter the Studio on the homepage.

COROS

COROS lets you export a workout file directly in the mobile app—no browser required.

  1. Launch the COROS mobile application on your phone and open the activity you want to export.
  2. Tap the Share icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Export Data, tap GPX, and save the file to your phone's local files.
  4. Return to Running Art and tap Enter the Studio to upload your file (GPX, TCX, FIT, or KML).

Strava

Use a web browser on any device. The native Strava mobile app does not allow exporting raw activity files.

  1. Open a web browser and log in at strava.com.
  2. Open the specific activity page.
  3. Click the More button (three dots) on the left menu.
  4. Select Export GPX to download the route data.
  5. Return to Running Art and tap Enter the Studio to upload your file (GPX, TCX, FIT, or KML).

Garmin

Garmin's mobile app does not include an export menu. Use the Garmin Connect web dashboard instead.

  1. In a web browser, sign in at connect.garmin.com.
  2. Click Activities, then All Activities in the left navigation.
  3. Click the run's title to open the full activity map.
  4. Click the gear icon in the upper right and select Export to GPX.
  5. Return to Running Art and tap Enter the Studio to upload your file (GPX, TCX, FIT, or KML).

Apple Watch

Apple does not let you export one workout as GPX from the Watch or Health app—only a full Health backup (large XML zip), which is not practical for a single poster.

  1. Easiest: If your watch uploads to Strava, export that activity as GPX from strava.com (use the Strava steps).
  2. On iPhone: Install the free "GPX Export" app, allow read-only access to Apple Health workouts, select your run, and save the .gpx file.
  3. Return to Running Art and tap Enter the Studio to upload your file (GPX, TCX, FIT, or KML).

Customize your poster

What sizes and prices do you offer?

All prices are in USD and shown in the Studio before checkout:

SizeUnframedFramed (black or white)
12×18 in$40$80
16×16 in$45$90
16×24 in$50$100

What paper and print quality do you use?

We print on 200 gsm premium matte paper (uncoated stock suited for posters and framing). Your poster is exported at 300 DPI at the final trim size so your route, type, and map stay sharp. We send a high-quality JPEG to our print partner, which is standard for print-on-demand production.

Do you offer frames?

Yes. Choose a black or white solid wood frame with plexiglass, mounted and ready to hang, or order unframed. Frame options appear in the Studio when you configure your poster. About has more on materials.

Orders

Can I order more than one poster?

Yes. Add each design to your cart from the Studio, then check out once for multiple posters in the same order.

Can I change my design after I pay?

Contact us as soon as possible with your six-digit order number from your confirmation email. If production has not started, we may be able to help. Once printing has begun, changes are usually not possible.
